The Chillicothe Paints (33-21) jumped out to an early lead on the Butler Blue Sox (28-25) and captured a 14-5 victory on Tuesday at VA Memorial Stadium.

Eleven runs in the first three innings allowed the Chillicothe Paints to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Aaron Hopper and a three-run double by Matt Fisher during the first inning and a sacrifice fly by Hopper in the second inning helped the Chillicothe Paints put some runs on the board early.

Giancarlo Brugnoni racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Chillicothe Paints. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the third and sixth innings.

Elliott Caldwell had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Chris Thomas recorded his seventh win of the year for the Chillicothe Paints. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out six, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

Kyle Thomas was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked four and struck out two.

The Chillicothe Paints pounded the Butler Blue Sox pitching, as six hitters combined for 18 hits, 14 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
