Saturday was a great day for Aaron Hopper, as he went 5-5 at the plate to carry the Chillicothe Paints (18-11) to a 30-3 victory over the Slippery Rock Sliders (9-20) at VA Memorial Stadium.

Seven of the Chillicothe Paints' runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by Hopper. He homered in the first inning, doubled in the third, fifth, and seventh innings, and singled in the eighth inning.

The Chillicothe Paints continued to pile on the runs until the end of the game. The Chillicothe Paints scored 20 runs in the last three innings to finish off the blowout win. The Chillicothe Paints scored 12 runs in the eighth on , , , an RBI single by Jared Kujawa, an RBI single by James Miglin, an RBI single by Vinnie Booker, , an RBI single by Kevin Zak, a sacrifice fly by Matt Fisher, an RBI single by Giancarlo Brugnoni, a groundout by Nick Lombardi, and an RBI single by Hopper.

J.T. Miller racked up 12 strikeouts in the the Chillicothe Paints win. Miller allowed three earned runs, five hits and one walk over seven innings.

Trent Wooldridge had two extra-base hits for the Slippery Rock Sliders. He doubled in the third inning and tripled in the eighth inning.

Jesse Mowen was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in five innings, walked one and struck out one.

The Chillicothe Paints easily handled the Slippery Rock Sliders pitching as seven hitters combined for 20 hits, 24 RBIs and 25 runs scored.
