The Lorain County Ironmen take out the Chillicothe Paints with help from Koch, 6-2

Cody Koch collected three hits, helping the Lorain County Ironmen (3-4) to a 6-2 victory over the Chillicothe Paints (4-4) on Wednesday at VA Memorial Stadium.

He homered in the first inning and singled in the fifth and ninth innings.

The Chillicothe Paints couldn't get anything going as long as Spencer Bryant was pitching. The Chillicothe Paints managed just one hit off of Bryant, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Chillicothe Paints' Trace Dempsey dominated the Lorain County Ironmen's batters, giving up zero runs and striking out five.

The Chillicothe Paints were led by Nick Lombardi's hitting. Lombardi went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning.

Mattius DeDoes recorded his first win of the year for the Lorain County Ironmen. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Brandon Sega ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked one and struck out four.
