Jaron Long kept the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (14-24) off the board during his six innings of work and the Bourne Braves (16-22) beat the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, 13-1.
Long allowed four hits, no walks and struck out nine.
Ten runs in the opening three innings allowed the Bourne Braves to easily put away the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. An RBI single by Colin Moran in the first inning and an RBI single by Mike Ahmed, a single by Jack Reinheimer, an error, and an error during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Bourne Braves.
Austin Wynns had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the eighth inning and doubled in the third and ninth innings.
Peter Miller ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in two innings, walked two and struck out two.
The Bourne Braves easily handled the Hyannis Harbor Hawks pitching as six hitters combined for 17 hits, eight RBIs and 12 runs scored.
