Tyler Horan brought home the go-ahead run to give the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (22-17) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox hung on to beat the Wareham Gatemen (17-21) 8-5 on Thursday.

The Wareham Gatemen were led by Horan's hitting. Horan went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning.

Zak Blair was hot from the plate for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. Blair went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the fourth and seventh innings.

Nicholas Rumbelow was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox batters and allowing two runs.

Joey Denato improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered three hits.

Kendall Graveman (2-1) took the loss for the Wareham Gatemen. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
