The Cotuit Kettleers (18-12) beat the Harwich Mariners (20-12) 6-1 on Sunday at Whitehouse Field behind Tony Kemp, who went 2-4.
He singled in the second and ninth innings.The Harwich Mariners couldn't get anything going so long as Jacob Stone was on the hill. Stone held the Harwich Mariners hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five.
Despite the loss, the Harwich Mariners' Corey Littrell dominated the Cotuit Kettleers' batters, giving up two runs and striking out 10.
Eric Jagielo paced the Harwich Mariners at the plate. Jagielo went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning.
