An eight-run explosion in the third inning lifted the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (11-10) to a 10-3 win over the Chatham Anglers (11-10) at Veterans Field on Sunday.

Josh Tobias racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He singled in the third innings and homered in the seventh innings.

Pat Valaika paced the Chatham Anglers at the plate. Valaika went 3-5 and scored one run. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Rick Knapp recorded his first win of the year for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He allowed two runs over four innings. Knapp struck out one, walked one and gave up four hits.

Eric Stevens (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
