Matt Moynihan was cold coming off the bench, but Moynihan warmed up quickly as Moynihan stroked a key pinch-hit single in the five to lead the Brewster Whitecaps (4-6) to a 10-5 win over the Falmouth Commodores (5-5) on Sunday at Arnie Allen Diamond.
With the Brewster Whitecaps leading by one in the fifth inning, Moynihan came to the plate and singled.
Moynihan had a hot bat for the Brewster Whitecaps. Moynihan went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs.
Tom Windle's six strikeouts helped the Brewster Whitecaps to the victory. Windle allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk over five innings.
Kevin Pohle (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked three and struck out six.
