The Washington Wild Things (6-9) didn't put up much of a fight on Tuesday, as the Southern Illinois Miners (11-5) cruised to a blowout 7-1 win at CONSOL Energy Park.

A two-run home run by Will Block delivered the runs in the ninth. The Southern Illinois Miners had two hits in the inning.

Jason Ganek went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Southern Illinois Miners. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the third and eighth innings.

David Harden picked up the win for the Southern Illinois Miners. Harden pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, eight hits and no walks while striking out three.

It was a good day at the plate for the Washington Wild Things' Doug Thennis. Thennis went 2-4 and scored one run. He singled in the fourth inning and tripled in the sixth inning.

Gary Lee was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
