Mozingo helps the Schaumburg Boomers down the Rockford RiverHawks 9-6

Chad Mozingo had three extra base hits as the Schaumburg Boomers (50-38) took home a 9-6 victory over the Rockford RiverHawks (36-52) at RiverHawks Stadium on Friday.

He singled in the third inning and doubled in the first, fifth, and sixth innings.

Jet Butler paced the Rockford RiverHawks at the plate. Butler went 3-5 and scored two runs. He singled in the second, seventh, and eighth innings.

Cody Griebling got the win, running his season record to 5-2. He allowed two runs over 6 2/3 innings. Griebling struck out four, walked five and gave up six hits.

Ziggie VanderWall couldn't get it done on the hill for the Rockford RiverHawks, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked seven and struck out two.
