The Traverse City Beach Bums (37-20) didn't stand a chance on Saturday, as the Rockford RiverHawks (26-30) captured a blowout 11-4 win at RiverHawks Stadium.

The Rockford RiverHawks scored three runs in the sixth on a fielder's choice, a groundout by Greg Van Horn, and an RBI single by Ted Obregon.

Obregon racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Rockford RiverHawks.

Nelson Curry pitched lights out for the Rockford RiverHawks. Curry gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Chase Burch racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the ninth inning.

Ziggie VanderWall got the win, running his season record to 5-3. He allowed two runs over five innings. VanderWall struck out five, walked six and gave up five hits.

Reid Kelly was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out eight, and allowed five runs.
