The Rockford RiverHawks (25-30) outlasted the Traverse City Beach Bums (37-19) at RiverHawks Stadium 2-1 on Friday after 10 innings.

With the score tied at one, Devin Shepherd came to the plate and doubled, scoring Michael Thomas.

Shepherd helped the Rockford RiverHawks take the lead for good in the tenth inning.

Garrett Granitz improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Rockford RiverHawks. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Matt Miller (3-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
