Charlie Lisk put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the River City Rascals. He doubled in the fourth inning and homered in the fifth inning.
Even though Preston Vancil allowed five runs over five innings he still recorded the victory, his fifth of the season. Vancil struck out four, walked three and gave up nine hits.
Matt Kuna couldn't get it done on the mound for the Schaumburg Boomers, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
The River City Rascals were sparked by Eric Williams and Lisk, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.
