Workman's single gives the River City Rascals walk-off win over the Gateway Grizzlies, 7-6

A walk-off single from Josh Workman brought home the winning run for the River City Rascals (18-13) in a 7-6 victory over the Gateway Grizzlies (16-15) at T. R. Hughes Ballpark on Wednesday.

Workman did his best to jumpstart the offense for the River City Rascals, reaching base one time.

Jason Patton reached base four times. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Jerod Yakubik racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Gateway Grizzlies. He singled in the fifth and eighth innings.

Dustin Umberger improved to 2-2 on the year by picking up the win for the River City Rascals. He allowed one run over two innings. Umberger struck out one, walked none and gave up two hits.

Richard Barrett ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
