Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Thursday as the Lake Erie Crushers (45-36) outscored the Normal CornBelters (27-54) 12-9.
The two teams combined for 20 hits in the game.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the seventh, with four lead changes.
J.C. Figueroa got on base four times in the game for the Lake Erie Crushers. He scored two runs and had two RBIs. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.
Trevor Longfellow got the win, running his season record to 8-2. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered no hits.
Tyler Stovall was charged with his ninth loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
