A walk-off two-run home run from Marcus Nidiffer brought home the winning run for the Traverse City Beach Bums (53-28) in a 6-4 victory over the Joliet Slammers (35-46) at Wuerfel Park on Thursday.

Nidiffer racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He homered in the ninth inning.

Sean Gusrang had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the seventh inning and doubled in the ninth inning.

Matt Miller improved to 5-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Rey Cotilla (0-1) took the loss for the Joliet Slammers. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
