The Traverse City Beach Bums (38-21) built an early edge on Monday, but the Joliet Slammers (25-34) roared back to steal a 5-3 victory at Wuerfel Park.

The Joliet Slammers took the lead in the tenth inning on a two-run single by Kyle Maunus.

The Joliet Slammers' Abel Nieves was perfect at the dish, going 4-4. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the first and tenth innings.

Mike Barsotti got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Scott Mueller (1-3) took the loss for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
