The Traverse City Beach Bums (12-7) continued to pile up the runs on Friday, scoring eight runs in the last three innings, on the way to an 18-4 landslide win over the Evansville Otters (7-12) at Wuerfel Park.

The Traverse City Beach Bums scored eight runs in the seventh on a two-run single by Chase Burch, a fielder's choice, a two-run double by Marcus Nidiffer, a two-run single by Matt Howard, , a single by Ryan Still, and a fielder's choice.

Jose Vargas racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He singled in the second and fourth innings and tripled in the sixth inning.

Scott Dunn pitched lights out for the Traverse City Beach Bums. Dunn held the Evansville Otters hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Luis Parache reached base three times in the game for the Evansville Otters. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the eighth inning.

David Deminsky got the win, running his season record to 2-1. He allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered five hits.

Bryce Morrow ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.

The Traverse City Beach Bums easily handled the Evansville Otters pitching as nine hitters combined for 18 hits, 17 RBIs and 18 runs scored.
