Jacob Sanchez kept the Schaumburg Boomers (41-30) off the board during his six innings of work and the Joliet Slammers (29-42) beat the Schaumburg Boomers, 5-0.

Sanchez struck out five and allowed two walks and five hits.

Kyle Maunus racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Joliet Slammers. He homered in the eighth inning.

Cameron Roth was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Joliet Slammers batters and allowing three runs.

Roth (8-5) took the loss for the Schaumburg Boomers.
