Wednesday was a great day for Jason Taylor, as he hit two home runs to carry the Lake Erie Crushers (29-25) to a 10-7 victory over the Schaumburg Boomers (33-21) at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium.
The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to four lead changes in the game.
Steve McQuail hit two home runs for the Schaumburg Boomers. McQuail went 2-4 in the game with two RBIs and two runs scored. McQuail homered in the sixth and eighth innings.
Trevor Longfellow recorded his sixth win of the year for the Lake Erie Crushers. He allowed four runs over six innings. Longfellow struck out three, walked two and gave up five hits.
Shane Prance was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked three and struck out two.
