Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Thursday as the London Rippers (17-27) outscored the Windy City ThunderBolts (25-17) 13-11.

The teams totaled 35 hits in the game.

The London Rippers held off the Windy City ThunderBolts, as the Windy City ThunderBolts were unable to overcome a seven-run third inning deficit.

The Windy City ThunderBolts scored on an RBI single by Matt Costello, an RBI single by Jareck West, a fielder's choice, an RBI single by Zach Aakhus, a wild pitch, and an RBI double by C.J. Gillman in the fifth inning and an RBI single by Gillman and a hit by pitch in the seventh inning. Still, the Windy City ThunderBolts couldn't catch the London Rippers.

Matt Wright had three extra-base hits for the London Rippers. He doubled in the first, third, and sixth innings.

Matt Sommo had an impressive outing against the Windy City ThunderBolts' lineup. The Windy City ThunderBolts managed just two hits off of the the London Rippers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Chris Kaminski recorded his second win of the year for the London Rippers. He allowed two runs over 2 1/3 innings. Kaminski struck out none, walked one and gave up four hits.

Stephen Sauer (4-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed nine runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out two.

The London Rippers pounded the Windy City ThunderBolts pitching, as seven hitters combined for 17 hits, 10 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
