Tim Brown kept the River City Rascals (34-37) off the board during his eight innings of work and the Gateway Grizzlies (42-29) beat the River City Rascals, 9-0.

Brown allowed five hits, one walk and struck out three.

The Gateway Grizzlies ran up the score, scoring runs at will until the final out. The Gateway Grizzlies scored three runs in the last three innings to finish off the blowout win. An error and a three-run home run by Landon Hernandez helped the Gateway Grizzlies score four runs in the sixth. The Gateway Grizzlies had two hits in the inning.

Hernandez racked up four RBIs on one hit for the Gateway Grizzlies.

Cory Caruso ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked six, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
