Scott Dunn pitched lights out for the Traverse City Beach Bums. Dunn held the Gateway Grizzlies hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

The Gateway Grizzlies were led by John Shelby's hitting. Shelby went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning.

Reid Kelly improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He allowed two runs over six innings. Kelly struck out five, walked four and gave up four hits.

Jonathan Gonzalez (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
