Wednesday was a great day for Eddie Rodriguez, as he clubbed two home runs to carry the Florence Freedom (48-38) to a 6-4 victory over the Joliet Slammers (35-51) at Home of the Florence Freedom.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to six lead changes in the game.

Andy Clark pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs, five hits and no walks while striking out five.

Patrick Norris racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Joliet Slammers. He homered in the first inning.

Matt Kline recorded his second win of the year for the Florence Freedom. Kline struck out none, walked none and gave up one hit.

Rey Cotilla (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed one run.

The Florence Freedom were sparked by Pierre LePage and Rodriguez, who teamed up for five hits and four RBIs.
