Nick Schwaner brought home the winning run to give the Evansville Otters (21-27) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Evansville Otters hung on to beat the Florence Freedom (27-21) 3-2 on Sunday.

The Evansville Otters staved off the Florence Freedom as the Florence Freedom were unable to match the Evansville Otters down the stretch.

The Florence Freedom scored two runs in the sixth on an RBI double by David Harris and an RBI single by Peter Fatse. Still, the Florence Freedom couldn't draw even.

Bryce Morrow got the win, running his season record to 4-4. He allowed two runs over seven innings. Morrow struck out six, walked none and gave up four hits.

Andres Caceres (4-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
