Tuesday was a great day for Alec Lewis, as Lewis pitched nine innings to carry the Florence Freedom (8-8) to a 2-1 victory over the River City Rascals (12-4) at Home of the Florence Freedom.

The Florence Freedom held off the River City Rascals, as the River City Rascals were unable to overcome a two-run eighth inning deficit.

The River City Rascals scored one run in the ninth on an RBI single by Jeremy Synan. Despite their efforts, the River City Rascals couldn't finish the comeback.

Justin Edwards ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked five, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
