Eddie Rodriguez knocked in three runs, sparking the Florence Freedom (6-7) to a 7-3 victory over the Normal CornBelters (3-8) on Friday at Home of the Florence Freedom.
He singled in the third inning and homered in the seventh inning.Maxx Catapano's six strikeouts were enough to push the Florence Freedom past the Normal CornBelters. Catapano allowed two earned runs on four hits and three walks over seven innings.
Pat Trettel had a hot bat for the Normal CornBelters. Trettel went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the eighth inning.
Justin Albert (0-2) took the loss for the Normal CornBelters. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
