The Florence Freedom (21-14) weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Evansville Otters (14-21), and the Florence Freedom lost 3-1 to the Evansville Otters after falling behind by three runs in the fourth inning.

The Florence Freedom scored one run in the sixth on an RBI double by Ryan Skellie. Still, the Florence Freedom couldn't catch the Evansville Otters.

The Evansville Otters relied on Matt Zielinski to eat up innings en route to the win. Zielinski pitched five innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk while striking out four.

Sean Gregory (3-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
