An outstanding effort by Mike Recchia hoisted the Windy City ThunderBolts (10-4) to a 5-2 win over the Washington Wild Things (6-8) on Wednesday at Standard Bank Stadium.
Recchia picked up the win for the Windy City ThunderBolts. Recchia allowed one earned run, three hits and one walk while striking out six over eight innings of work.
Brandon Pearl went a perfect 4-4 at the dish for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings and tripled in the seventh inning.
Justin Hall ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
