Jacob Clem held the Windy City ThunderBolts (5-3) scoreless for six innings to boost the Traverse City Beach Bums (6-2) to a 3-0 victory.

Clem struck out three and allowed four walks and three hits.

The Traverse City Beach Bums were led by Jeff Flagg's hitting. Flagg went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Ricky Szeligo ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.

The Traverse City Beach Bums never trailed after scoring one run in the second on a solo home run by Flagg.

The Traverse City Beach Bums increased their lead with two runs in the third. Jose Vargas' single got things going, plating Kyle Eveland. That was followed up by Chase Burch's single, scoring Brian Heere.
