The Lake Erie Crushers (4-6) took home an 8-2 victory over the Rockford RiverHawks (3-7) on Friday at RiverHawks Stadium, fueled by four runs in the eighth inning.
Russell Moldenhauer led the Lake Erie Crushers' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the third and fifth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.
Randy Sturgill improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Lake Erie Crushers. Sturgill struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.
Cody Hallahan (0-1) took the loss for the Rockford RiverHawks. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed two runs.
