Blake Butera did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Newport Gulls, reaching base four times. He singled in the third and ninth innings.
Caleb Kellogg improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Newport Gulls. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered one hit.
