The North Adams SteepleCats (20-17) beat the Vermont Mountaineers (17-18) 7-3 on Wednesday at Montpelier Recreation Field behind Jeff Roy, who collected three hits.

Adam Sargent brought the heat against the Vermont Mountaineers during his outing. Sargent held the Vermont Mountaineers hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Logan Pierce went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Vermont Mountaineers. He homered in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and doubled in the fifth inning.

Matt McAllister pitched lights out for the Vermont Mountaineers. The North Adams SteepleCats managed just two hits off of the the Vermont Mountaineers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Chris Bielak improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the North Adams SteepleCats. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered six hits.

Casey Delgado (2-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out five.
