A walk-off solo home run from Grant Kay brought home the winning run for the Keene Swamp Bats (24-11) in a 6-5 victory over the North Adams SteepleCats at Alumni Field,Keene,NH on Tuesday.

Kay got on base two times in the game for the Keene Swamp Bats. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the ninth inning.

Nelson Ward racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Keene Swamp Bats. He doubled in the third inning and homered in the fourth inning.

The North Adams SteepleCats (19-17) couldn't get anything going as long as David Mahoney was on the mound. The North Adams SteepleCats managed just one hit off of Mahoney, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Shane Klemcke racked up two RBIs on two hits for the North Adams SteepleCats. He homered in the third inning.

Rob Rogers got the win, running his season record to 3-0. Rogers struck out none, walked none and gave up one hit.

Thomas Bammann was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
