The Vermont Mountaineers (16-16) beat the Holyoke Blue Sox (12-20) 11-5 on Thursday thanks to a four-run fourth inning.

Greg Partyka paced the Vermont Mountaineers at the plate. Partyka went 4-5, drove in one and scored three runs. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the sixth, seventh, and ninth innings.

The Holyoke Blue Sox's lineup had no answer for Kyle Grana. Grana held the Holyoke Blue Sox hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

It was a good day at the plate for the Holyoke Blue Sox's Jordan Keur. Keur went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the first and seventh innings.

Matt Dearden improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Vermont Mountaineers. He allowed one run over 2 1/3 innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Scott Squier (1-3) took the loss for the Holyoke Blue Sox. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
