Gondek helps the Holyoke Blue Sox down the Danbury Westerners 4-2

Rocco Gondek went 2-3 and hit a home run as the Holyoke Blue Sox (12-19) took home a 4-2 victory over the Danbury Westerners (16-15) at Rogers Park on Monday.

He singled in the fifth innings and homered in the seventh inning.

David Speer picked up the win for the Holyoke Blue Sox. Speer pitched nine innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and one walk while striking out six.

Mike Orefice had a hot bat for the Danbury Westerners. Orefice went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning.

Stephen Catalina allowed no earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out three over six innings of work.

Catalina couldn't get it done on the hill for the Danbury Westerners, taking a loss.
