Austin Slater pushed the Newport Gulls ahead, in the sixth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. After Robby Ort singled, a passed ball scored Ort.

Slater racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Newport Gulls. He doubled in the fourth inning.

Yale Rosen racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Newport Gulls. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fourth and ninth innings.

Mitch Horacek improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Newport Gulls. Horacek struck out four, walked none and gave up one hit.

Roberto Baroniel couldn't get it done on the bump for the North Adams SteepleCats, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
