The North Adams SteepleCats (12-7) and the Danbury Westerners (8-11) exchanged the lead five times on Saturday, but the North Adams SteepleCats ended up on top with a 4-3 win over the Danbury Westerners.

The North Adams SteepleCats took the lead in the eighth inning and held on for the victory. Scored Shane Klemcke and gave the North Adams SteepleCats the lead for good.

Nick Narodowy pitched seven innings and allowed three earned runs, five hits and two walks while striking out three.

Matt Longfield improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the North Adams SteepleCats. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Brandon Adkins couldn't get it done on the mound for the Danbury Westerners, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
