The Sanford Mainers (5-13) beat the New Bedford Bay Sox (13-9) 11-7 on Saturday at Paul Walsh Field behind Jordan Hagel, who had three extra base hits.

The New Bedford Bay Sox had no answer for Steven Rice, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The New Bedford Bay Sox managed just one hit off of the the Sanford Mainers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 1 2/3 innings of work.

Alex Baldock racked up three RBIs on two hits for the New Bedford Bay Sox. He doubled in the sixth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Jason Inghram recorded his first win of the year for the Sanford Mainers. He allowed two runs over five innings. Inghram struck out two, walked two and gave up four hits.

Frank Vilacha was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
