Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the Keene Swamp Bats (8-2) and the Vermont Mountaineers (6-6), as the two teams put up 26 runs combined in a 17-9 the Keene Swamp Bats win.

The teams totaled 28 hits in the game.

Eleven runs in the opening three innings allowed the Keene Swamp Bats to easily put away the Vermont Mountaineers. An RBI single by JP Sportman and an RBI single by Sportman during the first inning and a solo home run by Fran Whitten, , and a groundout by Sportman in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Keene Swamp Bats.

Whitten blasted two home runs for the Keene Swamp Bats. Whitten went 2-6 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Whitten homered in the third innings.

Rob Rogers recorded his first win of the year for the Keene Swamp Bats. He allowed four runs over six innings. Rogers struck out five, walked one and gave up five hits.

Walker Stadler ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in two innings, walked two and struck out one.
