A walk-off single from Zach Stone brought home the winning run for the New Bedford Bay Sox (7-4) in a 7-6 victory over the Newport Gulls (6-2) at Paul Walsh Field on Thursday.

Stone reached base three times in the game for the New Bedford Bay Sox. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Alex Black racked up three RBIs on two hits for the New Bedford Bay Sox. He homered in the third inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Steve Anderson racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Newport Gulls. He homered in the third inning and singled in the second, fifth, and ninth innings.

Ty Walker recorded his first win of the year for the New Bedford Bay Sox. Walker struck out three, walked one and gave up one hit.

Ryan Halstead (0-1) took the loss for the Newport Gulls. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
