Thursday was a great day for Scott Hagan, as he clubbed two home runs to carry the Danbury Westerners (5-6) to an 11-3 victory over the North Adams SteepleCats (7-5) at Rogers Park.
The Danbury Westerners blew out the North Adams SteepleCats thanks to 19 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Danbury Westerners scored three runs in the seventh on a solo home run by Hagan and a two-run double by Mike Orefice.
Brett Houseal improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Danbury Westerners. He allowed three runs over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out none, walked three and surrendered three hits.
Tyler Gebler was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.
