Colton Cross held the Mystic Schooners (2-15) scoreless for six innings to boost the New Bedford Bay Sox (12-7) to a 7-0 victory.

Cross struck out three and allowed no walks and eight hits.

The New Bedford Bay Sox turned the win into a rout with two runs in the eighth.

Alex Black paced the New Bedford Bay Sox at the plate. Black went 1-5, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning.

Louis Concato ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
