Friday was a great day for Greg Mahle, as Mahle threw a no-hitter to carry the Corvallis Knights (28-21) to a 14-0 victory over the Cowlitz Black Bears at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.
The Corvallis Knights didn't let up, as they kept racking up runs until the end. The Corvallis Knights scored four runs in the final three innings to cap the blowout win. The Corvallis Knights scored six runs in the fourth on an RBI double by Dane Lund, a two-run double by Mahle, a two-run triple by Marc Gallegos, and an RBI single by Nate Esposito.
Mahle racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Corvallis Knights.
Mahle recorded his second win of the year for the Corvallis Knights. He struck out six, walked three and surrendered no hits.
Leko Galusha was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out none.
The Corvallis Knights easily handled the Cowlitz Black Bears (23-26) pitching as six hitters combined for 14 hits, 10 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
