The Kelowna Falcons top the Bellingham Bells in back-and-forth affair, 6-5

The Kelowna Falcons (22-16) and the Bellingham Bells (22-15) passed the lead back and forth six times on Thursday at Elks Stadium, but in the end the Kelowna Falcons pulled out a 6-5 win over the Bellingham Bells.

The Kelowna Falcons held off the Bellingham Bells, as the Bellingham Bells were unable to overcome a three-run eighth inning deficit.

The Bellingham Bells scored two runs in the ninth on an RBI single by Andrew Ely and a hit by pitch. Despite their efforts, the Bellingham Bells couldn't finish the comeback.

Kyle Moses had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the second and third innings.

Hunter Wood pitched lights out for the Kelowna Falcons. The Bellingham Bells managed just one hit off of Wood, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Cord Cockrill recorded his sixth win of the year for the Kelowna Falcons. He allowed three runs over six innings. Cockrill struck out four, walked one and gave up eight hits.

Andrew Olson was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed five runs.

The Kelowna Falcons were sparked by Moses and Patrick Johnson, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.
