The Bend Elks (18-16) beat the Corvallis Knights (21-16) 8-5 on Tuesday at Vince Genna Stadium behind Steven Halcomb, who went 2-4 and hit a home run.

The Corvallis Knights couldn't get anything going so long as Daniel Chavez was on the hill. The Corvallis Knights managed just one hit off of Chavez, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his five innings of work.

The Bend Elks couldn't get anything going as long as Taylor Starr was pitching. The Bend Elks managed just one hit off of the the Corvallis Knights' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Carlos Rodriguez couldn't get it done on the mound for the Corvallis Knights, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
