The Kelowna Falcons (18-12) didn't put up much of a fight on Wednesday, as the Klamath Falls Gems (11-19) cruised to a blowout 10-4 win at Elks Stadium.

The Klamath Falls Gems scored three runs in the ninth on an RBI single by Eric Yardley and a two-run single by Joshua Wong.

Parker Miles got on base three times in the game for the Klamath Falls Gems. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He homered in the fourth inning.

It was a good day at the plate for the Kelowna Falcons' Andrew Firth. Firth went 2-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Thomas Thorpe got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed three runs over 3 2/3 innings. Thorpe struck out four, walked four and gave up three hits.

David Ernst ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked three and struck out one.
