Colin Kreiter went 2-4 and hit a home run, sparking the Edmonton Prospects (1-0) to a 5-2 victory over the Okotoks Dawgs (0-1) on Monday at Seaman Stadium.

He homered in the seventh inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Erik Sabrowski pitched lights out for the Edmonton Prospects. The Okotoks Dawgs managed just one hit off of the the Edmonton Prospects' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his 4 2/3 innings of work.

Zach Siggelkow got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over four innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered three hits.

CJ Lewington (0-1) took the loss for the Okotoks Dawgs. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
