The Swift Current Indians scored in the third on an RBI single by Shane Dokey, a sacrifice fly by Bodie Cooper, a two-run single by Thomas DeBonville, a two-run single by Tobias Moreno, and a two-run single by Alec Humphreys.
Dokey reached base four times in the game for the Swift Current Indians. He scored two runs and had two RBIs.
Dan Moro had two extra-base hits for the Weyburn Beavers (0-1). He singled in the second inning and doubled in the first and ninth innings.
Bobby St. Pierre improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Swift Current Indians. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out six, walked none and surrendered 10 hits.
Ryan Johnson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked five and struck out four.
