Jose Barraza went 1-3 and hit a home run as the Lake Erie Crushers (28-32) took home a 5-1 victory over the River City Rascals (29-31) in seven innings at CarShield Field on Wednesday.

Connor Reed put together a nice outing. Reed gave up just two hits, allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out one during his six innings of work.

Tim Koons brought the heat against the Lake Erie Crushers during his outing. The Lake Erie Crushers managed just one hit off of the the River City Rascals' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Jason Zgardowski ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
